Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dentistry focuses on the care and treatment of various oral diseases from early childhood until the completion of growth. It specializes in providing comprehensive, preventive, and interceptive treatment to children, creating an emotional bond from the earliest stages of their lives.
It is important to emphasize that the family actively participates in this process. Therefore, our work begins with guiding the mother during pregnancy to prepare the child for dental care from their very first stage.
Another fundamental patient group for Pediatric Dentists includes children and adults with disabilities, including patients with Down syndrome or Trisomy 21. Here, the pediatric dentist is responsible for examining the child’s oral cavity and identifying possible anomalies in temporary dentition (baby teeth), applying individualized procedures and treatments. The ultimate goal is to prevent children from developing serious dental problems.
